Hope & Beauty by Sue Smyth

#couturecreationsaus
Hi all
I am sharing two cards I recently made to teach at a store near by
each card is made from the Hearts Ease range and Couture Creations Dies

This card I have cut about 2 cm off the front opening
and adhered a strip of die cut paper lace from the Amaryllis range
This always makes a nice focal point to a card.

Here are a few close ups for you to enjoy.
Don't be afraid to cut up a die cut, this is the Cycad leaf
I have inked with green distress ink and
then blended around the edges with pink or red distress ink.
Then spritz with a little water to blend them together nicely.

A nice example of a wicked flower( have shown this on a previous post)
The larger the flower the better the effect.

To add a spot of colour to the centre of the flowers
just pick up a small amount of ink on a small stipple brush.
Wipe off any excess, you really only need a little, and
dab all over the center of the flower.

When you fussy cut an image, flip it over on a mouse pad
apply pressure with a stylus to give a curved appearance.
Flip back over, I like to cover with a little dimensional magic
and a really small amount of white glitter.
Then adhere to card with 3 D foam tape.

Add a pocket to the inside to hold a gift card or tag.

Use up your left over pearls, and add an accent, they don't have to be
the same size, and they will add a bit of shine and bling.
