Laugh Love Live by Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

#couturecreationsaus

Welcome everyone! Julianne here today, sharing a layout created with the Vintage Rose 12 x 12 papers and cutting dies. I have used the Vintage Border, Classic Vine, and Daffodil Spray dies. Although there appears to be quite a few layers and details in this layout, it is quite easy to create, as most of the detail comes from the fussy cut images and die cut shapes.

Let's start with the die cutting. I have used white cardstock to cut eight images from the Vintage Border die. And I have used pale green paper (scraps) from the Vintage Rose paper collection to cut two Classic Vine images, and two Daffodil Spray images.

And again, using scraps from the Vintage Rose paper collection, I have cut out the following images. Some of the papers used include Roses & Butterflies, Smile, Time, and Green Words.

The next step is to colour your white paper flowers. Firstly, I sprayed mine with  pink mist and then I darkened the edges, using a paintbrush, with a deeper shade of mist. Dry the flowers thoroughly with a heat gun before adhering to your layout.

For the layout base, start with two pieces of cardstock, in pink (bottom layer) and white (middle layer 29.5cn x 29.5cm), and the "Heavy Stripes" patterned paper (28.5cm x 28.5cm) from the Vintage Rose paper collection. Layer and adhere each piece upon the other, as shown in the image.

Take a light pink piece of paper (Frame of Roses), and tear it on both the top and bottom, and then adhere it across the page, slightly towards the top. Don't adhere it right to the torn edges, as you have to slip the Vintage Border die cuts underneath.

Take seven of the Vintage Border die cuts, and adhere them to the page as shown. One goes at the top of the page, three go at the bottom of the page, and the other three are tucked under the edges of the torn paper.

Using foam tape, adhere your photo to the layout, right of centre, on the pink torn paper.

The next step is adhering the first layer of fussy cut pieces. I have used 3D Glue Spots (as I find them easy to use), but you could also use the foam tape. Refer to the image for placement. (Please note: DO NOT stick the butterfly down as shown in this image - I have changed the image layout - shown further down).

Continue with another layer of fussy cut images (layer two strips of double sided tape on top of each other if extra height is needed). Adhere your large flower, and the two rose bud flowers, to the bottom right of the photo.

Adhere the remaining flowers, as shown in the image. Cut the Classic Vine and Daffodil Spray into smaller pieces, and adhere to the layout, as shown.

Cut out the phrase "Laugh Love Live" from the Green Words paper, and adhere it to the left hand side of your layout, with foam tape, as shown. Using 3D Glue dots, adhere three butterflies as shown. Adhere large pink pearls to the centre of your two rose bud flowers. Highlight the fussycut flowers with Glitzin Galmour Glitter Glue (Pink), outline the words phrase with Crystalina Glitter Glue, and outline the butterflies with Aztec Gold. Add various sized pink pearls to the centre of the butterflies, and small pink gemstones to the Vintage Border die cuts. Finally, place random groups of pink gemstones around the page, in three different areas, to form a visual triangle.

I have finished my layout by highlighting the fussy cut clock, and the words "Laugh Love Live" with Glossy Accents. Allow your layout to dry thoroughly.
