Hello Everyone, Crece Thomas here with you today on the Couture Creations Blog as the Guest Designer for December.
A little about me, I live in Ipswich Queensland, with my Hubby and 2 sons.  I also have many furry and feathered children/pets.
I started Scrapbooking after my first son was born (almost 15 years ago) as a way to document memories for him to look back on in the future. From there my passion grew when I moved here to QLD.
I don’t have a specific style of scrapbooking, I do like to try all the latest trends but If I was to ‘label’ myself with a style it would be “Clean, strong design elements, with unique controlled mixed media pops”
That’s enough about me…lets have a look at the layout I have created using the stunning Ooh La La collection Designed by Queenie Yeung.

TOGETHER FOREVER LAYOUT

Here is how I created this layout.

First I started with the ‘Chocolate Swirls’ patterned paper as the base for the layout.
I then cut ‘Gold, Silver & Bronze’ patterned paper 29cm x 29cm and distressed the edges. Using double sided tape I adhered it to the ‘Chocolate Swirls’ paper.

Using another sheet of ‘Chocolate Swirls’ I created 3 buntings.
The left and right ones measure 8cm x 14cm and the middle one 7.5cm x 20cm.

I then cut 2 of the beautiful patterned frames from ‘Ooh la la frames’ patterned paper and attached these to the 2 smaller sized buntings.

Next I used ‘Patterned in Gold’ patterned paper – Stripe side and cute the piece 10cm x 14.5cm with the lines going horizontal.

I then needed to create a mat for my middle photo. To do this I used ‘Butterflies & Lace’ Patterned paper. Using the lighter side with the golden browns and creams (butterfly side) I cut a rectangle 9cm x 13.5cm.
I then used the other side of ‘Butterflies & Lace’ for the rich brown paper to use with the stunning Ornamental Affair Collection intricut die ‘Finley Border’.
This die cuts 2 different borders, so I ran it through the die cutting machine twice to get 2 of each border.
I then glued the lace looking part of the border to the top and bottom and the other border to the left and right, and trimmed as needed.

I then layered the papers to create the middle bunting and used double sided tape to adhere down – Stripes from ‘Patterned Gold’, next the brown bunting shape from ‘Chocolate Swirls’ and finished it with the Matt created in the last step.

I then added my photos – left and right photos are 5cm x 7.5cm and the middle photo is 7cm x 9.5cm.
I used some string from my personal stash and attached it under the ‘Gold, Silver & Bronze’ Patterned paper using some double sided tape.
I put some foam mounts to the backs of the bunting pieces and stuck them down on angles to create a ‘hanging’ look.
I then used some small wooden pegs from my personal stash to finish that part off.

I used some brown patterned paper from ‘Chocolate Swirls’ to run through the die cutting machine with the ornamental Affair Collection intricut die - ‘Everly Background’
I trimmed this and then attached it to the layout using glue.

Finally I added the ‘Together Forever’ Embellishment from the Ooh La La Diecut Ephemera Set over the ‘Everly Background’ die cut using foam mounts.
I then used some ribbon from the Ooh La La Ribbon & Lace Pack and created a bow to place under the middle photo.
I used the ‘Butterflies & Lace’ patterned paper to cut out 1 large butterfly and 1 small butterfly to embellish with.
And finally some dark 3mm pearls from the Duo Pearls pack attached to the Together Forever embellishment.
