Layered Doily Dress Card by Patti Hamill

I wanted to share a quick project using the Couture Creations Dazzling Doily die from the Fantasia collection. You can make a little layered dress easily from any of the circular dies.

Start out by die-cutting three doilies from a solid cardstock. I used a light lavendar color.

Cut 2 circles just a little larger than the doilies and one just a little smaller. The smaller one will be for the bodice of the dress. The two larger for the skirt.

With the two for the skirt, adhere them together and fold as shown in the photos below. Then layer the two together.

With the smaller circle you will cut the remaining doily in half and layer it with the doily overlapping the circle below it. Then adhere the top and bottom together.

Next is the fun, you can embellish however you wish. I just used a tulle bow and punched tiny blooms with a small punch. Then I used the Couture Creations pearls in pink for the center of each one!!!

And that's it! Just assemble the rest of your card as desired. I just used a sentiment tag, some lace and a piece of ribbon. The back ground is light pink and I used a scrap of patterned paper with lavendar flowers! The Couture Creations tweezers make attaching the little pearls a breeze, you can get them exactly in the center by using them!

The possibilities are endless as to the look of these little dresses, you can even make smaller ones and use multiples on layouts! You can make decorative banners with them, lots of things to do!!! Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoyed this!
