#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

HI Everyone

My turn on the Blog Today my last post before the June Paper Craft Expo. Today I am going to give you a sneak Peak at one of the Embossing Folders that belongs to the Ultimate Crafts The Ritz Collection.

I started this card with the card front which I cut from Ultimate Crafts Paper Bag Cardstock at 5 and 3/4 inches by 6 and 3/4 inches.

and put it through the soon to be released Ultimate Crafts The Ritz Rose Trellis Embossing Folder!!
(Join Myself, Kerrie Gurney and Anita Enright at the Brisbane Paper Craft Expo where we will each use a different Ritz Collection in our Classes)

Then using some of the Ultimate Crafts Rambling Rose Die Cuts and A bit of Ultimate Craft Magnolia Lane Lace and corrugated cardboard I fashioned a border across the front of the card.

Then using some more of the die cuts from the Rambling Rose Collection Pack and some random Flowers I added a cluster to the side of my card.

then adding a Resin Bird to the top of my card front I attached it to a Matching mat and 5x7 card base.

Please join myself and the girls at the June Papercraft Festival to see more of the Ultimate Crafts The Ritz Collections.

Best Wishes by Bridget Louw

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hello everyone from a nice and warm(ish) Gold Coast. The last few weeks have been INSANE for me. We all have times when life gets super busy but yet occasions still happen..birthdays & life events don't stop JUST because we are busy. It's at times like this that we need an emergency solution..a quick easy but effective card in a flash.

The Ritz Collection has the answer as the papers are all coordinating and the foiled embellishments in the back of the paper pads are already die cut for convenience.

Let's throw this card together..ten minutes and we will be done.

We start with a 5 1/4" square card base. On top of that layer a piece of black 5 1/8" square and then a piece of the patterned paper measuring 5" square.

A strip of the foiled paper at the back of the pad adds a nice focal point.

I layered one of the elegant ladies from the back of the pad on a piece of black cardstock, popped on some 3d foam dots at the back and placed it on the card.

For the flower I took some glue and lightly added it to the tips of the petals, leaving it to dry until it went tacky. I cut a piece of gold hot foil and just touched it to the dry but tacky glue on the ends of the petals. This may be one of my favourite things to do this year..doesn't it look drop dead gorgeous.

Glue your flower to your card. How many minutes was that? Bet you it was ten minutes or maybe even less.

Thank you for playing along with me today. I hope you will join me in June for a few new projects.

Happy Crafting.

If You Can Dream It You Can Do It by Guest Designer Cathy Cafun

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hi everyone,  Cathy here with my second post as Guest Designer for the month of May, creating with the beautiful L'Aquarelle Collection of co-ordinating papers, dies, embossing folders and stamps.

First up I have created a layout using peach and soft brown tones from the collection.

"If You Can Dream It You Can Do It" Layout
I was drawn to the pretty peach/pink and script pp's to create this layout and also fussy cut a few elements from a couple of the papers to create layers around my photo.
I used a few of the Inspiration Cards which I cut apart and tore for a few more layering elements and also my title.  I love to use a sanding block to make my elements pop and give them a shabby/distressed look.

For my background I cut down the peach watercolour pp, sanded the edges and framed it with the beige script pp.  I then layered the torn polka dot Inspiration Cards pieces under the torn bird/script paper and adhered to my background.
To frame my photo I embossed a piece of the peach coloured pp with the Flowering Frame Embossing Folder and lighted sanded over the embossed design.  I also diecut the beautiful Dove in Flight Die from beige pp and backed it with peach pp using the Turbo Glue Pen, then cut around the edges.

The co-ordinating Ornate Metal Flower embellishments can be used as they are, or you can pull them apart like I have to giving you versatility and value for money.

With all the elements created, I layered them to my background using Couture Creations Foam Dots to create dimension.

To finish off, I created a mist by mixing the Couture Creations Mix and Match pigment powders with water and flicked over my layout with a brush, making sure to cover my photo. I used the copper and pearl white and also made a mix of copper with a touch of pearl white, to create an additional softer copper colour.

"Happy Birthday" Card
I couldn't resist the cute little robin, so I decided to create a card using papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad and one of the Inspiration Cards for my greeting,
To create a pretty border I fussy cut around the floral paper, then used 3D Liquid Pearl Drops in Madagascar to add flower centres.

I also stamped and embossed 2 of the lovely floral cluster stamp from the Fern Flowers and Flourish Stamp Set, cut them apart and layered them under bird to look like it was part of the branch.

To finish off I mixed the pink and pearl white Mix and Match Pigments with water and flicked around the bird to create a softening effect.

I hope you enjoyed my projects created with the beautiful L'Aquarelle Collection.
