Christmas Day by COLLETTE MITREGA

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hi Papercrafters

Today I have another layout using the beautiful 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' collection from Ultimate Crafts.

My son Jack loves to fool around and is so photogenic. I loves this pic, he was pretending the bobble on his hat was his mike and was singing Jingle Bells.

How I love Christmas!

The layout is very straightforward and easy to copy. I embossed some vanilla cardstock with beautiful Christmas words (ULT158301 - Winter Wonderland Embossing Folder), and die cut some snowflakes (ULT 158320 - Snowflake Decorative Die) to add texture.

I also cut the poinsettias and layered them up.

It's a great layout that you can do in advance for this Christmas, who says we can't scrap first and take pictures later!!!

For my little sentiment I simply printed it out on the computer and rolled to edges to form a scroll.

Happy Memories by ANITA ENRIGHT

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hi Everyone, Anita back with you again today on the blog.

For my post today I thought I would share with you a fairly quick layout that I have created using the Bohemian Bouquet from Ultimate Crafts and designed by Denise Boddey.
It is such a beautiful collection and today my focus was more on the papers and layering.

This photo is of my brother and his gorgeous two children Sabine and
Thomas celebrating Father's Day this year.

My layout was pretty quick to put together.  Once I had the idea of what I wanted to do in my head and had chose my patterned papers it came together within 1 hour.

I chose the green and white damask paper to use as the base for my layout and then chose patterned papers that I like the matched with each other.
The smaller pieces I decided to distress the edges using my Couture Creations non stick scissors as I find it easier to control.  In saying that I do tend to get a little heavy handed and can sometimes tear the paper, but I love that and make the most of the tears to add another feature to the layout.

Above is how I layers all the papers together prior to adding my photo and the embellishments.
I matted my photo on a small piece of snow white cardstock to give a tiny white border and then added a cherry cola cardstock mat under then white, then mounted it all on to a piece
of chipboard to give more depth.

I added a chipboard title from the 1st release chipboard collection from
Couture Creations "Happy Memories" and hotfoiled it with the Chocolate foil.

I finished it off with an array of flower clusters and a few enamel dots and the layout was complete.

Jingle All the Way by GUEST DESIGNER Novi Ferris

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hello everyone,

Novita Ferris here..... I am so happy and feeling honoured to have been invited again by Artdeco Creations to be the Guest Designer for the month of October.

When I picked up the package from Artdeco Creations, I thought that  Christmas is just around the corner... maybe you are already preparing something nice for Christmas such a presents to give for your family or friends.  I am always excited when talking about Christmas and presents lol!

So today I would love to share with you a mixed media layout and one extra card that I made that might give you an inspiration to make and gift to someone special on Christmas day.

I created this layout and card using the new and beautiful It's Beginning To look a lot like Christmas collection of co-ordinating papers, dies, stamps, adhesive chipboard and vellum by Tina Higgins.

JINGLE ALL THE WAY

I choose this photo of my nephew and nieces, taken last Christmas, they look very happy and can't wait to open their Christmas presents.

I had so much fun creating this layout.
So many beautiful papers in the It's Beginning To look a lot like Christmas collection. I started with picking a few sheets from 12" x 12" patterned paper pad.

Using three different patterned paper for my base layout, I first picked the brown patterned paper (see below photo on far left) then I tore strips from the bottom and top (see middle photo)  I trimmed the strip with the holy leaves (as shown in the photo on the right)

Using the photo as a guide, I've then assembled the torn strips, patterned paper and the strip with the holy leaves over the green cardstock.

To designed a background of the layout, I started by sponging the middle of layout quite thinly with gesso - I used Acrylic Gesso from the Anna Griffin Collection. Once the layout was dry,  I stamped randomly with the Fractal Snowflakes clear stamp using versamark ink and then put gold embossing powder and heat set to make a textured background.

I created a mist by mixing the Couture Creations Mix and Match pigment - green powder and Acrylic White gesso with water and flicked over my layout with a brush. Once this was dry I added some random stamping with black inkpad using the Joyeaux Noel from Winter Wonderland stamp set.

Next up is fussy cutting hmmm why not? lol...... So I fussy cut all of the poinsenttia flowers from the patterned paper in the  It's Beginning To look a lot like Christmas collection pack so that I could layer it underneath my photo.
This particular paper has so many beautiful elements on it.

Now it's time to put your layout together, start by adding some papers under your photo to make more dimension with double sided foam mounting tape.

I adding some die cut flowers from the Vellum Decoupage Sheet..... Ohh they look very beautiful, don't they? and they come already cut so they are very easy to use.... no more fussy cutting!
I also stamped small snowflakes randomly here and there with white ink pad and finished with a small crystal gemstones and  then scattered some extra for a touch more bling.

As a finishing touch, with dry brush I applied white gesso in all of the edges of the  embellishments and paper to give a softer effect and white glitter.

Here are some close up photos

For the title I've used the "Jingle All the Way" die cut from It's Beginning To look a lot like Christmas Collection.

And for last project, I've created a mixed media card with the same paper collection as the Layout.  With the same techniques of applying stamping and embossed for making a background on the card and also splashed white gesso that has been mixed with water.

BE MERRY

Adding Christmas Flourish die underneath the flower and paper then put some crystal gemstones on it.

I used the rest of the paper by rolling them to make a straw embelishment and tied them up together with string and glued it.

Well thats all from me today.
I hope you enjoyed my projects created with the beautiful It's Beginning To look a lot like Christmas collection and will feel motivated to get creative.

“Decorating the Christmas Tree” by Adriana Bolzon

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hi everyone, Adriana here again, today and I am sharing a layout created with  new release products from
Artdeco Creations - Couture Creations - Ultimate Crafts -
"It's Beginning to look like Christmas".

All the products I used to create my projects today are listed at the end
of this blog post. Together with the GoPress and Foil Machine, and some of the hot foil stamps from the collection. "It's beginning to look like Christmas" is a very wonderful traditional Christmas collection. The 12 x 12 paper pads are excellent for creating perfect page memories of Christmas times together with family.

"Decorating the Christmas tree" layout by Adriana Bolzon

I created the background with the pine stem clear stamp from the
"It's Beginning to look like Christmas".

Stamping and embossing the image with the Couture Creations Moss Stone Embossing powder CO725005, I love the dark green gloss colour, which stands out on the page.

With the same stamp pine stem I inked and stamp with a vintage photo ink pad, for added depth.

Using the same pine stem leaf stamp and
Couture Creations White chunky embossing powder CO724963
onto the middle page part of my paper page, as shown below.

Adding clusters of flowers and branches of stems and also
"It's beginning to look like Christmas" ULT158318 Christmas flourish die underneath the photograph.
Stamping some of the pinecones from the Cardinal and Poinsettia stamp set ULT158303, onto a piece of card stock then cutting them out and adhering then under the cluster of flowers and leaves.

Using the circle framed die from the "Wreathed Wise Men" die ULT158315 which is die cut from Gold Mirror board CO725407 and hot foiling the word "Season's Greetings" ULT158335 on a piece of the paper pad from the collection "It's beginning to look like Christmas" together with the GoPress and Foil machine.

Jingle All The Way by KATRINA THOMPSON

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hello everyone and thankyou for joining with me again for a tutorial using the new It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas collection by Tina Higgins.
For this card I've layered the decorative 12x12 paper as a base which coordinates with the adhesive chipboard as the focus. Embellishing with a few of the new dies from this beautiful collection brings it all together.

Cut horizontally, 17.5cm up from the bottom edge. Save your offcut for Die Cutting!
From this piece cut 2 panels.
The poinsettia panel is mainly 11.5cm but if there was overhanging foliage details, I have cut around them to include the details, as pictured.
The plainer panel is for the inside and is 12cm wide.
Ink both in a coordinating colour and add a layer of Crystalina Glitz'n Glamour around the edge of the Poinsettia.

Create a card base from the Carnelian cardstock, 19.5cm high x 27.2cm wide. Fold and score in half and ink edges in a white ink.
Cut a mat from the Kahlua cardstock, 18.2cm high x 12.2cm wide. Distress the edges.
Attach the Poinsettia panel to the mat and attach the whole piece to the Carnelian card base.

I have used the Holly Branch Die and the Jingle All the Way Die.
Using the offcut from the first step, cut 2 sentiments, 1 in the yellow for the card front and and 1 in the red for the inside.
Cut 4 Holly branches, 2 in Jungle and 2 in Cypress Pine.
Dust all the pieces in a red ink for a contrast then add the Crystalina Glitz'n Glamour for some bling.

Using a dauber ink the edges of the chipboard piece.

Attach the Holly to the back of the chipboard.

Cut the Poinsettia image from the pictured 12x12 sheet. Ink and shape the edges.

Centre and attach the chipboard and foliage to the card base, then add the Poinsettia as pictured.

After attaching the panel from step 1 to the inside, add a panel in the Kahlua cardstock to make it easier to write on. Inside layers also helps weight the card more evenly!
Attach the Jingle All the Way die cut and your ready for your personal messages.
